What Business Problems Are We Trying To Solve?

Influencer marketing is hot, from the center of the marketing industry to its furthest edges. But, what really is influencer marketing? Traditional marketing is the Brand telling people how great the brand is, while Influencer marketing is other people telling people how great the brand is. It’s about getting other, influential people to discuss and promote the brand, the product, and the services. Those influential people can be traditional celebrities, or they can be ordinary people who have managed to get large amounts of faithful followers on social media.

According to a recent Forbes article:

Younger audiences in particular are skeptical of traditional, one-way communication strategies and celebrity endorsements. But the reason influencers are so important right now is not only due to a growing lack of trust in advertising; consumers are hungry for authenticity. Research shows about 30% of all internet users use ad blockers to remove distracting display ads as they access online apps and services. And a GlobalWebIndex survey revealed, 47% of consumers use them because ads are “irrelevant and annoying.”

On the flipside, for many consumers, influencers epitomize authenticity. People can engage directly with influencers, many of whom respond to posts and comments and participate in two-way dialog with followers. Research backs this up: A 2017 survey of 4,000 social media users across the U.S., UK, Germany and France concluded that authenticity is the main reason influencers are trusted. Particularly in the current environment, in which the growing skepticism of advertising is compounded by a general distrust of the press and politicians, influencers who can exude authenticity and form meaningful connections with followers will be held in high regard.

Still, why do we need a marketplace for the blockchain industry? Here are a couple of examples to show the pain currently experienced by Brands and Influencers in the process of an influencer marketing activity.

From Brands’ perspective, the pain points are:

  • How can I vet those Influencers for my marketing needs
  • What is the best way to manage/distribute marketing assets (posters, images, videos, blogs, infographics, etc.) and monitor the E2E campaign performance
  • How can I trust those Influencers and make sure they will do the job

From Influencers’ perspective, the pain points are:

  • How can I (not FB/Twitter) monetize my social media presence and reach
  • What is the best way to manage/distribute social media content across multiple platform
  • How can I trust the company that I will get paid after I do the task

Additionally, there is no platform currenty available to help bridge Brands and Influencers in the blockchain ecosystem. Most of the influencer marketing activities today are done either through a markting agency (high commission fee) or through direct contacting with individual Influencers (manual process which is time and resource consuming and doesn’t scale when you need to deal with hundreds of Influencers).

So, here we are. Introducing to you
